Open Hearts Play Space’s mission is to provide a universally accessible indoor playground with an enriched and supportive environment; that promotes understanding, health, diversity and respect, so all children, regardless of their differences, abilities and limitations can play together.

Our Goal

Our goal is to encourage and increase empathy, health and fitness, friendships, self-esteem and meaningful social interactions through play. By providing the equipment and a secure facility, the play space can promote more opportunities for children of all abilities and economic backgrounds to engage in physical fitness and peer interactions all year round.

Benefits

Accessible play equipment allows children with limited mobility to play alongside their peers. The indoor play space meets a need for the stay at home parent, student parent and the working parent and other caregivers that wants their kids to play when the outdoor playgrounds are not an option; rather it's too cold, or too hot or the daylight savings has stopped all the fun. Secure entry and inclusive accessible equipment, including a sensory room will help foster a safe space for all children to play together.

Who Are We?

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization comprise of moms who happen to also be behavior scientist that want to see more inclusive and functional play spaces for our children to grow as capable, empathetic and confident learners and leaders. We know this happens through play and social interaction with peers.

What We Need

We are in need of financial assistance to put our mission and vision to work. We also need an indoor location large enough for inclusive play equipment and sensory rooms, adaptive play equipment, community support and volunteers.
